Today’s SSSSSS (Sorta Strange Simple Significant Social Sites) to build backlinks for your site is one that I’ve been playing around with a lot lately.

This one is Rate It All which is a social site for adding products and reviewing products of all kinds.   It doesn’t matter what your niche or your product is, they have a list and a review for everything you can think of.  They’re even running a contest right now for you to review and add local businesses in your area…so even if you’re a brick and mortar local business you can join their site and add your products and reviews.

You need to join and create an account at Rate It All.  I suggest you also take the time to complete your profile where you can add your favorite website links (of course you’ll want to add your own websites and affiliate links).

With any social networking or social bookmarking site it’s important that you always take the time to complete your profiles (if they have one).  Gives people an insight into who you are, what you like, and it’s just one more opportunity to establish relationships (which is what it’s all about).  You want people to get to know you and the profile page is the perfect place to start that relationship.

At Rate It All you can add products in any category from internet marketing to pets to toys to local businesses to anything you can think of.  If a list does not already exist for the item you want to add, then you can start the list yourself.

When you add your products you can also add images and links to the products.  When you review other’s products, your profile image shows up on the review.  If people click on your profile image they’ll be taken to your profile page which tells them more about you including the website links you’ve added in your profile (oh…and they let you add several website links in your profile too!)

Rate It All will take you less than 15 minutes to add your products (with your URLs for backlinks) and do a review or two on some other products that you may have actually used!

As with any other social site, don’t just add your links and your products.  Spend a little time on the site getting to know others and rate and review their products too.

A great thing about Rate It All is how many people go their to find reviews on products.  They are not there to promote their products or services, they are just there to add their own reviews and find reviews on products.

By becoming an active member of the community at Rate It All you may get people to come and review your own products which you can later link to and use.  You will also be adding backlinks to your websites to increase your page rank and traffic.

Again, the purpose of SSSSSS is that they are simple and significant and will take you very little time to add to.  Visit Rate It All 2 or 3 times per week to add your product and reviews, and it will take you less than an hour per week to do so.

And, don’t forget that you can bookmark your profile and your product pages from Rate It All for more backlinks.
