If you’re looking for some simple social sites to get backlinks from, here’s a few I’ve pulled out that have and are still working for my sites.  You probably haven’t heard of most of these because some of them don’t have high page ranks, but they all have high traffic and carry “dofollow” for your backlinks.

Tipstrs is a site where you can submit a tip on anything!  There is a category for just about any tip you have to submit, and if there isn’t one you can even create your own category.  Great place to dominate your own niche if you find a way to offer useful tips and information.

Tipstrs doesn’t even require you to register, but I suggest you do so that as you continue to add tips people will begin to see you as an expert in your niche and follow you.  There is no profile to complete the registration process other than name, e-mail and password so it’s easy to get started adding your tips and your links.

Another benefit of registering is that you get your own page on the site where all of your posts and tips can be found.

You can use HTML within your tips and add your link to your website.  They also let you add images, so you can also get some image linking if you use the right descriptions and alt text.

They also let you add your own related tips to other people’s tips (and yes you can add your links here too).  I want to stress however that when you’re adding related tips to other’s tips you want to add real content and relevant information, similar to what you do when you comment on blogs.  Don’t just spam others tips!

Tipstrs will take you 10 minutes or less to add your tip and will definitely create some link juice to your websites.  If your site has lots of internal pages, make sure to link to those internal pages too when you’re adding tips to Tipstr.

It’s one of those sites that you can visit several times per week, add some useful information and tips and get links to your sites.
